Janelle Johnson has been sentenced to 343 months in prison for the second-degree murder of Jesse Farris, who was fatally shot outside his Bemidji home in December 2020.

Algene Vossen, 81, who was arrested in Sioux Falls, had previously been found incompetent to stand trial for the 1974 killing of Mae Herman in her Willmar home.
Jarquez Javon Bedford, 28, faces life in prison in the stabbing death of Andrea Rae Cottew, 52, on Feb. 5. Bedford remains in custody on $4 million unconditional bail.
