Upcoming at Mille Lacs Kathio State Park: • Saturday, January 19 - 1-2 p.m. Snowshoeing for Beginners. We will begin with a brief talk about different types of snowshoes, then move outside for a how-to-lesson and a snowshoe hike. • Saturday, January 26 - 1-3 p.m. Snowshoeing into the Past. After an indoor look at some ancient artifacts, archaeologists will lead us on a snowshoe trek to locations where they discovered evidence of a village from the 1600s and a "campsite" dating to over 3,000 years ago.
