A sign on a newly installed door in the basement of the former First Presbyterian Church in Brainerd -- home to the homeless families nonprofit New Pathways -- states bathrooms are not available and directs the organization to use the bathrooms at the Holiday Stationstore three blocks away. Four decades after Martin Luther King Jr.'s `I Have a Dream' speech commemorated by the inscription of those words chiseled into the granite of a landing on the steps of the Lincoln Memorial.
 
The inscription, over 2 feet wide, reads:

"I have a dream

Martin Luther King Jr.

The March on Washington

For jobs and freedom

August 28, 1963."
