Cassidy Wick, 8, placed first in both the Freeskate and Compulsory events Feb. 1 at the Northland Figure Skating Basic Skills Competition in Duluth.

She is the daughter of Robert and Lynn Wick, Pequot Lakes, and is coached by her her mom.

Cassidy is a member of the Vacationland Figure Skating Club in Brainerd.
