Volleyball: Pequot Red team 1st in home tournament
The Pequot Lakes Red team finished first in their division while the Pequot Blue team finished second in theirs at the Breakdown Summer Tournament in Pequot Lakes Wednesday, July 21.

The Pequot Lakes Red team finished first in their division while the Pequot Blue team finished second in theirs at the Breakdown Summer Tournament in Pequot Lakes Wednesday, July 21.
The red team won three straight in a bracket that included Albany, Brainerd, Perham and others.
The blue team swept Red Lake and Crosby-Ironton before falling to Park Rapids in three games in the championship match.

After recently finishing second in a tournament in Alexandria, the Pine River-Backus Tigers also competed in the Breakdown tournament but lost all of their matches.
Teams will begin varsity practice on Monday, Aug. 16.
