Volleyball: Patriots win Fergus tourney

Maci Martini recorded 45 kills, 29 digs, five ace serves and two blocks as Pequot Lakes went 4-0 and won the Blocktoberfest Tournament in Fergus Falls Thursday, Oct. 21.

The Patriots swept all four games 2-0 to get first place in the tournament.

Abi Martin recorded 80 set assists, 15 digs and eight ace serves in the eight sets of the tournament.

Ella Kratochvil tallied 27 kills and 21 digs for the Patriots who are now 22-6.

With a 22-6 record, the Patriots earned the No. 2 seed and received a first-round bye in the section tournament. They will face the winner of Foley and Wadena-Deer Creek at home on Monday, Nov. 1.
