Pine River-Backus’ Kyosuke Marcum grabbed first place in the triple jump and second place in the high jump and 100-meter dash in a Park Region Conference meet Thursday, April 15, at Pillager, helping the Tiger boys finish third out of five teams.
Finnegan O’Dell finished first in the pole vault and Nathan Nations grabbed the second spot in the 1600-meter run for the Tigers boys.
For the Tiger girls, who finished fifth, Alaura Dahl led the way with a third-place finish in the triple jump and a fourth-place finish in the 800-meter race.
Ashley Crawford and Claire Dahl also had fourth-place finishes in the 400-meter dash and the shot put, respectively.
