Tigers Remain Perfect in Conference
Miah Hansen struck out 11 batters and gave up just three hits as the Pine River-Backus Tigers 10-runned the Northome-Kelliher Mustangs 10-0 Thursday, April 21. Only three of the Tigers' runs were earned runs as the Mustangs had eight errors. Annie Semmler and Miah Hansen both went 2-4 at bat with doubles and Hansen had two RBIs, and Ashley Anderson went 1-2 with a triple and one RBI.

Tigers Out-hit Drakes
With a whopping 11 hits, the Tigers easily handled the Blackduck Drakes 9-2 Tuesday, April 19. Hansen took the win striking out 10 and giving up just four hits. Alexus Reddick led the Tigers at bat going 3-5 with a triple and Allison Anderson went 2-4 with a double and two RBIs. The Tigers started off the top of the first inning by batting all the way through their lineup and scoring six of their nine runs. The Tigers are now 4-2 overall and 3-0 in the Upper Mississippi Conference. The Tigers are next scheduled to travel to Red Lake to play the Warriors in a conference matchup.
