Chaney improved her record to 23-0 at No.2 singles for Pequot Lakes with a 6-1, 6-0 win over Sydney Roberts as the Patriots defeated Crosby-Ironton 7-0 Tuesday, Sept. 21.

“Crosby Ironton was coming off a big 5-2 win over Staples, so we knew they were much improved from when we played them the first match of the season,” Sergent said. “Our girls played well at every position. We stayed patient and consistent with our groundstrokes.”

Mudgett and Allyson Yahn needed a tiebreaker set to defeat Isabelle Vignieri-Melanie Severson at No. 2 doubles. Yahn-Mudgett improved their record to 22-1.

C-I’s Ellen Silgen-Ella Lewandowski forced a tiebreaker set at No. 1 doubles against Kelbee Lampi-Lexi Peterson, but fell 7-5, 4-6, 11-9.
