The Pequot Lakes Patriots won five individual championships and the team title in the Mid-State Conference Meet on Saturday, Sept. 16.

"This was definitely a season highlight for us," head coach Monica Sergent said. "Everyone won their first round match and went on to play well all day. It was fun to bring home a big team trophy for our tennis program."

Singles champs for Pequot were Morgan Mudgett at No. 2, Courtney Boller at No. 3 and Maddy Pluimer at No. 4.

The Patriots' doubles winners were Elli Saxerud and Maddy Sherman at No. 2 and Afton Crocker and Morgan Lueck at No. 3.

Mudgett scored a 6-1, 6-0 No. 2 singles victory to help Pequot Lakes post a 5-2 Mid-State Conference victory over Staples-Motley Thursday, Sept. 14.

"This was a big conference win for us. All of the girls played really well. It's always nice to win of Parents Night, too."

Boller won 6-0, 6-2 at No. 3 singles to improve to 19-3 on the season.
