The Pequot Lakes’ singles players were too much for the Little Falls Flyers as the Patriots rolled to a 7-0 win over the Flyers in a non-conference match Thursday, Sept. 26.
Courtney Boller, Madeline Plumer, Alexa Fyle and Madeline Sherman, all seniors, cruised to easy two-set victories over the Flyers. Boller improves to 27-0 for the season.
Pequot Lakes also swept all three doubles matches in straight sets as Megan Muller improved to 23-1, Quinn Trottier to 25-1 and Morgan Lueck 26-2.

Pequot Lakes’ singles players didn’t lose a game as the Patriots rolled to a 7-0 Mid-State Conference win over Wadena-Deer Creek Tuesday, Sept. 24.
“That shows great focus and concentration throughout their matches,” coach Monica Sergent said. “I mixed up the doubles line up and was pleased to see that they were all flexible and played well together.”
It was the 12th shutout of the season for the Patriots, who are 20-1 in dual meets. Their only loss was to Class 1A’s fourth-ranked Virginia on Tuesday, Aug. 20.
Pequot Lakes is ranked eighth in Class 1A.
