Tennis: Muller 3rd, Chaney 4th at sections

Megan Muller and Carly Chaney finishedin third and fourth, respectively, in the Section 7-2A Individual finals Tuesday, Oct. 19.

Muller improved her season record to 31-4 and her career record to 107-14 as she claimed third in the singles bracket. Unfortunately, she did it by defeating her teammate, Chaney, 6-2, 7-5.

Muller then fell to Elk River’s Ava Nelson in the semifinals, while Chaney fell to Forest Lake’s Malia McKinnon.

Chaney finished the year 34-3, with all three losses coming in the last four days. Chaney’s career concludes with a 79-3 record.

Both seniors concluded four-year varsity seasons.
