Jaime Johnson took the loss as pitcher as the Pine River-Backus Tigers were defeated 3-13 by the Park Rapids Panthers Thursday, May 13.

Johnson struck out two batters, walked three, and gave up 14 hits.

“Park Rapids was a tough game to play,” Johnson said. “They are a very good and fast team and we just weren’t at their level yet. However, playing them made us a better team and helped show what we need to work on to be a more successful team at the end of the season.”
