Maci Martini doubled in the fourth inning and drove in two runs which proved to be the winning runs for No. 1 Pequot Lakes in a 3-1 win over No. 5 Barnesville in the Section 8-2A quarterfinals Thursday, June 3.
The Patriots trailed 1-0 going into the fourth inning when Taylor Scherack tripled and scored to tie the game.
Morgan Eckes struck out eight batters and didn’t give up an earned run and was rewarded with the win as the Patriots won for the 11th straight time.

Kaitlyn Geschwill went 3-3 with three runs scored and also recorded the win in an 8-3 win for Pequot Lakes over Frazee in the Section 8-2A semifinals Thursday, June 3.
Maya Orvis was 2-4 with two runs scored and two RBIs.

Geschwill struck out 11 batters and gave up two runs. After the second inning, Geschwill and the Patriots defense recorded 17 outs in a row.

Eckes recorded 10 strikeouts as she no-hit the Ottertail Central Bulldogs for a 10-0 Patriots victory in the Section 8-2A opening round Tuesday, June 1.

Eckes didn’t walk anyone, but hit one batter.
Abi Martin was 2-2 with both hits as a pinch hitter in the sixth inning. It was Martin’s RBI hit that closed the game.
Geschwill went 2-3 and Orvis went 2-4.
