The Pine River-Backus Tigers girls’ track and field team returns six letterwinners this spring. They include Clair Dahl, Ashlee Crawford, Alaura Dahl, Camryn Good, Abby Bluntson and Ella Dahl.
“We have a great group of girls, and we’re excited to compete,” said PR-B head coach Tim Ramler, who is starting his 11th season coaching track.
Last spring, the Tigers were eighth at the Subsection 6A meet as Claire Dahl was second in the pole vault and third in the discus. Dahl also finished fifth in the section meet.
Others who could contribute for PR-B include: Hannah Gordon, Ava Deplazes, Kelsy Bergem, Callie Norman, River Crawford, Evelynn Peterson and Kenzlee Sawyer.
Assistant coaches for the Tigers are Liz Dahl and Mike Young.

PR-B is scheduled to open the season at the Pequot Lakes Invitational at 4 p.m. Thursday, April 7.
