PEQUOT LAKES — Morgan Eckes struck out eight with one earned run and went 2-for-3 with a RBI as the Pequot Lakes Patriots beat the Milaca Wolves 6-3 Monday, May 9.

The win moves the Patriots to 10-0.

PIERZ — Katelyn Geschwill pitched another no-hitter as she went seven innings and struck out 11 while giving two runs and five walks as the Pequot Lakes Patriots defeated the Pierz Pioneers 7-2 Friday, May 6.

Eckes went 2-for-2 with an RBI and a run for Pequot while Kelsi Martini was 1-3 with two runs scored and an RBI.

STAPLES — Geschwill struck out 12 of the 14 batters she faced on the way to her third straight no-hitter as Pequot Lakes swept Staples-Motley 21-1 and 17-0 in a Mid-State Conference doubleheader Thursday, May 5.

Eckes started Game One and struck out seven batters without giving up a run in the four-inning complete game.

Maci Martini was 3-5 with a double and four RBIs while Kelsi Martini tallied two doubles and three RBIs.

Geschwill walked two batters, but struck out 12 in the four-inning contest with the Patriots winning 17-0. Eckes went 3-4 with two runs and four RBIs. Isabelle Larson finished 2-2 with three RBIs and three runs scored.

PARK RAPIDS — Geschwill pitched a five-inning no-hitter with 10 strikeouts in Game Two while also going 2-for-4 with three runs scored in Game One as the Pequot Lakes Patriots swept the Park Rapids Tigers 9-8 and 11-0 in a Mid-State Conference doubleheader Tuesday, May 3.

Morgan Eckes picked up the win in the circle in Game One as she struck out eight and did not give up an earned run over seven innings.

Brea Eckes went 5-8 across the doubleheader. She stroked three doubles and recorded three runs and two RBIs in Game Two.

Abi Martin went 2-3 with an inside-the-park home run and four RBIs in Game Two as the Patriots improved to 6-0 this season.
