Dana Jones tallied two goals to lead Class 1A’s 10th-ranked Cloquet-Esko-Carlton in a 3-0 win over Northern Lakes Thursday, Jan. 20.
The Lightning put 10 shots on the Lumberjacks’ net while Northern Lakes goaltender Kate Stephens finished with 34 saves. Cloquet-E-C scored once in the first period before adding two insurance goals in the middle session.
Northern Lakes, 9-10-1 overall, were scheduled to play Morris-Benson Tuesday, Jan. 25, and then play at Willmar Thursday, Jan. 27.

Moose Lake 2, Lightning 1
On Tuesday, Jan. 18, Jasmyn German scored the only Northern Lakes goal as the Lightning fell to Moose Lake at the Breezy Point Sports Center. German scored on a shot that sailed past the Rebels’ netminder Mallory Hartl at 6:15 of the first period.

Moose Lake tied the game at 10:03 of the opening period on a low shot that beat netminder Stephens. Maya Christenson added an assist while Stephens notched 25 saves in the loss for the Lightning.
