Krieger, Pequot win again
STAPLES — Morgan Krieger knocked out her own teammate in a scorecard playoff to earn individual medalist honors and lead the Pequot Lakes Patriots to a first-place finish Friday, May 13, in the Cardinal Open at The Vintage at Staples.
Krieger shot 79, as did Birkeland. Annie Neva and Charlee Sullivan both shot 84s for Pequot’s 326.

OWATONNA — Birkeland cleared the field by three strokes and the Patriots won the Owatonna Invite by 27 strokes on Thursday, May 12, at the Owatonna Country Club.
Birkeland fired nines of 40-44 for her first-place 84. She birdied the 110-yard par 3 seventh hole.
Krieger shot 90, Sullivan 98 and Neva 100 for Pequot’s 372 team score.

Patriots 2nd at Gravel Pit
EAST GULL LAKE — Neva finished second as an individual after shooting a 50 on 13 holes while the Patriots placed second out of nine teams Tuesday, May 10, at Gravel Pit Golf Course.
Krieger tallied 51 for a sixth place finish and Birkeland shot a 52 for seventh for the Patriots.
