Girls Basketball: Patriots win 18th straight

Lauren Schultz scored 19 points for the Pequot Lakes Patriots as they extended their winning streak to 18 games by defeating the Detroit Lakes Lakers 59-48 in Mid-State Conference girls’ basketball action Saturday, Feb. 19.

Kelsi Martini tallied 15 points while Isabel Larson added 11 for Pequot Lakes, which improved to 8-0 in the conference and 23-1 overall.

The Patriots, who were scheduled to host Aitkin Tuesday, Feb. 22, finish the regular season at Park Rapids Friday, Feb. 25.

On Thursday, Feb. 17, Maci Martini finished with 16 points and Schultz and Ella Kratochvil each added 12 for visiting Pequot Lakes in a Mid-State Conference victory over the Staples-Motley Cardinals.
