PEQUOT LAKES — Quarterback Grant Loge threw for 200 yards and three touchdowns as the Patriot football team topped the Perham Yellowjackets 22-12 in the regular season finale on Wednesday, Oct. 19.
"They are a very good team," senior quarterback Grant Loge said. "They came in knowing they were going to have to stop the pass ... but we had John Paul (Elsenpeter) come in and run very hard, and we ran it right down their throats."
John Elsenpeter rushed for 189 yards for the Patriots while Cullen Kratchovil caught two touchdown passes for the Patriots.
The 6-2 Patriots now move into the postseason with an opening round home game against Greenway at 6 p.m. on Tuesday, Oct. 25.
"It's a new season now," Loge said. "No one has a win and no one has a loss, and the loser goes home. We definitely don't want to lose."
