ALEXANDRIA — Eli Hall ran a sixth-place time of 16:07.6 for the Pequot Lakes Patriots boys in the Alexandria Invite Saturday, Oct. 8.
Hall’s time was a new school record, beating the previous record time of 16:14 set by current Patriot assistant coach Clayton Foster.
“Straight from the gun, Eli shot out like a cannon running right behind the lead pack,” head coach Jeff Brever said in an email. “Eli had one goal in mind – it was to break the school record – and he did not deviate from his plan. Eli's mile split times were 5:00, 5:15, 5:20 and then his last 1/10-mile finished with a strong kick. Eli has worked very hard over the summer and it is paying off.”
