Boys Golf: Seeling a Mr. Golf finalist

INDEPENDENCE — Pequot Lakes senior Tyler Seeling is one of eight prep boys players up for the Mr. Minnesota Golf award that will be presented at 6 p.m. on Sunday, June 12, at Windsong Farm Golf Club.

Seeling finished second in the Section 6-2A tournament last week and led his Pequot Lakes Patriots team to the state tournament. Seeling is joined by Brady Baynes of Eden Prairie, Chase Camilli of Lakeville North, New London-Spicer’s Peyton Coahran, Edina’s Charlie Nasby, Owen Rexing of Rosemount, Northfield’s Nate Stevens and Jack Wetzel of Edina.

The Ms. Minnesota Golf award will also be handed out. Candidates for that award include Ellie Breuer of St. Michael-Albertville, Emma Davies of Eden Prairie, Madison Hicks of Chanhassen, Cora Larson of Alexandria, McKenna Mallow of Detroit Lakes, Simley’s Isabella McCauley, Caroline Monty of Stillwater and Chaska’s Samantha Youngquist.
