Jared Hamilton scored a career-high 24 points to lead the Pine River-Backus Tigers to an 82-49 Northland Conference boys’ basketball victory over the host Walker-Hackensack-Akeley Wolves Thursday, Feb. 17.
Irvin Tulenchik added 15 points and was followed by Brady Bristow with 13, Andrew Bueckers 11 and Rian Struss 10.
The Tigers, 7-5 in the conference and 10-13 overall, are scheduled to host Red Lake at 7 p.m. Friday, Feb. 25.
