Pequot Lakes’ Eli Laposky totaled 14 points for the Patriots as they beat the host Thief River Falls 50-40 in a non-conference boys’ basketball game Friday, Jan. 14. It was Pequot Lakes’ seventh straight win since losing to Nevis 66-65 in overtime Dec. 14.

Sam Rysavy finished with 10 points for the Patriots as they extended their winning streak to seven games.

Pequot Lakes, 8-2 overall, was scheduled to play Detroit Lakes Tuesday, Jan. 18 and then travel to Crosby-Ironton at 7:15 p.m. Friday, Jan. 21 in a pair of Mid-State Conference games.

On Tuesday, Jan. 11, Sam Rysavy poured in 25 points as the Pequot Lakes Patriots defeated the Little Falls Flyers in non-conference action.

Ryan Harmala finished with 11 points for the Patriots while Cruz Megazzini and Eli Laposky each scored eight.

Beau Thoma led the Flyers with 16 points while Jaxon Janski tallied 12 points.
