Basketball: Patriots to compete in Pacesetter tournament

The Pacesetter “Sweet 16” will feature 32 of Minnesota’s best high school basketball teams.

ST. JOSEPH — The Pequot Lakes boys' and girls' basketball teams will play in the Pacesetter “Sweet 16” tournament on Saturday and Sunday, Aug. 6-7, at the College of St. Benedict in St. Joseph.

The Pacesetter “Sweet 16” will feature 32 of Minnesota’s best high school basketball teams. The Pequot Lakes boys and girls have both been invited as one of the top four teams in Minnesota Class 2A. The girls will play Jordan and the boys will play Mahtomedi in the first round.

The teams are mixed by class in the first round with a team from each class in each group of four teams in the 16-team bracket.
