PINE RIVER — Owen Carlson, the lone senior on the Pine River-Backus Tigers roster, collected one of two hits for the No. 2 seeded team which was eliminated by the Sebeka Trojans 6-0 from the West Subsection 5-1A playoffs on Friday, June 3.

Ryder Compton posted the other PRB hit.

Tulenchik suffered the loss on the mound, but struck out six over six innings while allowing six runs on eight hits and three walks.

PINE RIVER — Shawn Schmitz tallied one hit and two RBIs as No. 3 seeded Bertha-Hewitt/Verndale defeated No. 2 Pine River-Backus 4-0 in the West Subsection 5-1A Winner’s Bracket on Thursday, June 2.


The Raiders' Kole Weishalla pitched seven innings and struck out seven.

Konnor King started for the Tigers, went six innings and struck out nine batters.
