The Pequot Lakes fifth-grade girls' basketball team took first place in the Pillager tournament last weekend, defeating Staples, Royalton and Onamia in the championship game. The team includes, front row, Sydnie Wgeishofski, Morgan Eckes and Elisa Flaws; middle row, Carly Chaney; and back row, coach Melissa Chaney, Hannah McMahon, Brittany Joyce, Sonja Palmer and coach Ann Flaws.
