The Pequot Lakes seventh-graders were split into two teams and played each other in the Mid-State Conference tournament on Saturday, Sept. 26, in Park Rapids.
The Pequot Lakes White squad defeated Park Rapids in two games and topped Detroit Lakes Red in three games before beating the Pequot Lakes Red team in two games to win the championship.
The Pequot Lakes Red squad downed Staples Motley in three games and beat Detroit Lakes White in three games to reach the championship match.
