The Pequot Lakes JV girl's softball team is now 6-3 on the season after beating Pine River-Backus 21-4 and Pillager 6-2 last week.
In their big win over the Tigers on May 5, MacKenzie Nelson was 4-4 with two home runs and five RBI's, Shannon Mead had an RBI, Cora Brown a double, Annie Harrison was 2-3, Lyndsey Young was 2-3 with a triple and 3 RBI's and Haleigh Salvevold had triple and Brie Sewall was the winning pitcher for Chad Rudbeck's team with five strikeouts.
In the 6-2 win at Pillager on Friday, May 6, Sewall again was the winning pitcher with seven strikeouts and she also doubled. MacKenzie Nelson was 1-3, Taylor Olson-Finley had a homerun and a RBI, Chloe Deautsch was 1-3 with a RBI and Cora Brown was 1-2.
