Henry Krecklau and Hank Raph paced the Pine River-Backus Tigers boys' basketball team with 20 points each in a 90-79 loss to the Red Lake Warriors on Friday, Feb. 13.
PR-B's Zach Struss contributed 16 points and Konrad Bueckers added 15 in the Northland Conference loss.
"I was extremely proud of our effort tonight," said PR-B coach John Riewer. "We lost to an outstanding basketball team on their home floor. It was an entertaining game for the fans as both teams got up and down the floor."
Red Lake had a 48-37 edge in rebounds as Bueckers had 12 rebounds and Struss 11. Bueckers also had eight assists.
The Tigers, 7-6 in the conference and 13-11 overall, is scheduled to play at Laporte on Thursday, Feb. 19. Red Lake improved to 12-2 in the conference and 19-5 overall.
