The Pequot Lakes JV boys basketball team won their opening game on Friday, Dec. 8, against the Proctor Rails by the score of 53-41.

The Patriots jumped out to a double-digit lead in the opening half and rode their solid play throughout to the victory.

The Patriots rode the scoring of Bode Magenson and Carter Sjoblad who netted 21 and 19 points respectively.

Carter Embree gave the squad a solid inside presence and added six points and numerous rebounds. Owen Seidl chipped in four points and Dylan Collins added three.

The Patriots will face Detroit Lakes on Friday, Dec. 15.
