Junior Hockey: Loons drop pair of weekend games

The Minnesota Loons were defeated by the Alexandria Blizzard 8-1 and the Willmar WarHawks

The Minnesota Loons (Breezy Point) were defeated by the Alexandria Blizzard 8-1 Friday, Nov. 5, and the Willmar WarHawks 8-5 Saturday, Nov. 6, in a pair of North American Tier III junior hockey games at Breezy Point Hockey Center.

Tye Kusilek scored for the Loons in the loss to Alexandria. Jamison St. Clair had two goals while Blake Keller, Tyler Seeling and Caiden Kjelstrom each tallied for the Loons against Willmar.

The Loons, 1-15 overall and last in the West Division standings, are scheduled to host the New Ulm Steel at 7:30 p.m. Friday, Nov. 12. Minnesota then travels to New Ulm to play Saturday, Nov. 13.
