The Minnesota Loons of Breezy Point dropped three North American Tier III junior hockey games over the past week.
The Loons were defeated on the road by West Division opponent the Alexandria Blizzard 13-0 as Cole Klingbeil had the hat trick on Tuesday, Jan. 19.
The Loons then traveled to Oregon and lost to the Tradesmen 9-3 on Friday, Jan. 21, and 3-1 on Saturday, Jan. 22. On Friday, Kyler Couture had two goals while Blake Keller scored once for the Loons. On Saturday, Keller scored as the game was tied 1-1 after the first period. Oregon netted the winning goal in the middle session and added an insurance goal in the final period against netminder Matt Ryynanen.
The Loons, 5-29 overall, are scheduled to host Alexandria at 7:30 p.m. Friday Jan. 28, and then play at Willmar Saturday, Jan. 29.
