The Jenkins/Pequot Lakes VFW baseball team split a doubleheader against Aitkin on Tuesday, July 8. They won the first game 7-6 before the second game 14-4.
In the opener, Ethan Lehman pitching seven innings for Jenkins/PL while Josh Buell had three hits and Grant Maecji added two. In Game 2, Brady Jurek and Ben Stevens both pitched for Jenkins/PL.
Jenkins/PL was 4-6 overall before hosting Crosby on Tuesday, July 15. The team then is scheduled to play against the Brainerd freshman VFW team on Thursday, July 17, at Mills Field in Brainerd.
