The Jenkins/Pequot Lakes VFW baseball team split with Brainerd, losing the opener 11-1 before winning the second game 6-2, on Thursday, July 17, at Mills Field in Brainerd.

The Jenkins/Pequot Lakes VFW baseball team split with Brainerd, losing the opener 11-1 before winning the second game 6-2, on Thursday, July 17, at Mills Field in Brainerd.

In the opener, Cam Boller scored the only run for Jenkins/PL on a single by Jared Sewall. Ethan Lehman was the losing pitcher.

In the second game, Cam Boller had three singles and Lehman added a double and single. Winning pitcher Brady Jurek allowed six hits and three walks while striking out four in going six innings.

Jenkins/PL is 5-7 overall.
