Garrett Freemon netted a pair of goals in both games as the Breezy Point North Stars rallied twice to beat the Wausau RiverWolves last weekend in North American Tier III junior hockey action.

On Friday, Oct. 4, the North Stars trailed 3-1 after two periods before answering with four goals in the final period. Mario Maietta and Alec Sorby tallied for Breezy Point to tie it midway through the third period. Jordan Linder scored the winning goal with 2:31 remaining before Freemon netted a open-net goal in the final minute to clinch the win. Goaltender Jacob Mitchell made 47 saves to earn the win while losing netminder Tyler Klatt made 58 saves.

On Saturday, Oct. 5, the RiverWolves grabbed a 1-0 lead after the first period before Freemon and Sorby tallied 36 seconds apart to give the hosts a 2-1 lead early in the second session. Sorby, Robin Praetz and Freemon added insurance goals in the third period. Goaltender Griffin Foster had 59 saves to earn the win while Terran Mohr had 32 saves in a losing effort.

Breezy Point, 3-5 overall, is scheduled to play at the North Iowa Bulls on Friday, Oct. 11, and Saturday, Oct. 12.
