Eighth-grade netminder Kate Stephens tallied nine saves for the Northern Lakes Lightning girls hockey team as they defeated the Crookston Pirates 3-0 on Thursday, Nov. 29. It was the first shutout for Stephens in her varsity career.

Caitlyn Gutzman scored two goals for the Lightning, both in the first period, while Savannah Abear scored the other in the second period of the non-conference victory.

Ari LeMieur tallied two assists in the game.

Blue Devils 2, Lightning 1

Kylee Hopp slapped in two goals for the Prairie Centre Blue Devils as they won 2-1 over the Northern Lakes Lightning in a Mid-State Conference game Tuesday, Nov. 27.

Anna Nedoroscik recorded two assists for the Blue Devils.

Caitlyn Gutzman scored the Lightnings only goal as they ended their three-game win streak and dropped to 3-2 overall.
