The Breezy Point North Stars' regular season came to an end on Friday, March 9, with a 9-2 loss at the hands of the New Ulm Steel.

The Steel jumped out to a big early lead - scoring four goals in the first 10 minutes of the game - and never looked back.

They followed their first-period outburst with three goals in the second period and two more in the third, scoring the final goal of the game with a man advantage with roughly seven minutes left to play.

The North Stars finally answered in the final period, with defenseman Reid Morin finding the goal just over 10 minutes into the final period, while Jordan Gibson and Larsen Tubbs recorded assists on the play. Defender Alex Flicek scored another goal for the North Stars, this time unassisted, roughly 100 seconds later.

Breezy Point goalies Lucas Ehrlich and Micah Hershey combined to stop 38 of 47 shots.

The North Stars finish the season with an overall record of 15-30-2-0.
