HOCKEY: Alexandria tops North Stars in OT

Ryan Herbert netted the winning goal at 4:22 in overtime to give the Breezy Point North Stars a 4-3 win over the Alexandria Blizzard in North American3 Hockey League junior hockey action on Friday, Jan. 30.

Also netting goals for the North Stars were Yego Paliy, Felix Conrads and Tyler Larwood while Conrads, Lider Kenyon, Nick Blanchette and Sean Viti were each credited with an assist.

Goalie Jaxson Gosnell collected 38 saves for the North Stars who have won two straight.

On Wed., Jan. 28, Jordan Carey and Crosby Steen each scored two goals as Breezy Point blanked the Minnesota Flying Aces 6-0, at Breezy Point Arena.

Linder Kenyon collected three assists, Seyia Hayata and Jack Anderholm each added two and Carey and Ryan Herbert each had one. Cosnell stopped all 19 shots he faced.

Breezy Point, 10-26-3 overall, is scheduled to play at the Alexandria Blizzard on Thursday, Feb. 5.
