Girls Basketball: Balanced scoring leads Pequot Lakes Patriots to victory

Patriots remain unbeaten

The Pequot Lakes Patriots used balanced scoring to remain unbeaten as they defeated the visiting Park Rapids Panthers in a Mid-State Conference girls’ basketball game Thursday, Jan. 28.

Kelsi Martini, Afton Crocker, Kaitlyn Geschwill and Lauren Schultz each posted six points for Pequot Lakes as 12 different players scored to help the Patriots improve to 2-0 in the conference and 3-0 overall.

Pequot Lakes enjoyed a slim 21-18 lead at halftime before expanding the advantage in the second half.

The Patriots, who were scheduled to play at Detroit Lakes Tuesday, Feb. 2, will next host Proctor in a non-conference game Friday, Feb. 5.
