Senior goaltender Madison Galligan was chosen most valuable player for the Northern Lakes Lightning girls' hockey team.
Galligan was an All-Mid-State Conference honorable mention selection while defenseman Hannah Zimmerman and forward Mariah Reed were first-team all-conference.
Other awards were Sam Gutzman, most improved player; Chelsea Skluzacek, coaches award; Bella Abear, Miss Hustle; and Zimmerman and Reed, Hobey Baker Character Award.
Letterwinners include: Galligan, Gutzman, Skluzacek, Chloe Deutsch, Ashley Kosloski, Sofie Mjaaland, Alexa Holm, Zimmerman, Brittney Knox, Lexi Brewer, Reed, Britta Bittner, Allie Olson, Sydney Tietz, Mackenzie Rickard, Carly Fyle, Stephanie DeGrote, Isabella Abear, Alex Nelson and Mikala Huesmann, manager.
Coaches for the Lightning, who finished 8-18 overall after losing to Alexandria 5-2 in the Section 6A semifinals, were Kristen Harsha, Matthew Bugnacki and Jamie Reed.
