The Pequot Lakes Diamond Club, along with the Power Lodge, surprised Patriots' head baseball coach Jon Kotaska with a special utility cart before the April 30 home doubleheader. The cart will assist Kotaska in maintaining fields and hauling gear during the baseball season. The cart was made possible because of the varsity baseball team, Mr. Novak's students, and the Power Lodge in Brainerd. The Diamond Club is an organization designed to enhance youth baseball for players ages 9-15. Board members include Brad McGuire, Garry Grewe, Jim Meister, Jeff Schommer and Matt Erickson.
