Dance: Jazz 7th, kick 9th in Rocori

Taking part in the Rocori Invitational on Saturday, Jan. 11, the Pequot Lakes Revolution Dance team finished seventh in jazz and ninth in kick.

Rocori claimed the top spot in both categories.

"It was a tough day of competition," Head Coach Melissa Owen said. "We went up against a lot of great teams at Rocori. We had a good performance. It was the first time we competed with all of our dancers, and our formations looked strong. Kicks were also better than previous competitions. However, there were a few too many mistakes and going into our next competition we need to work on applying all we worked on during practice in our competitive performance.

"The jazz teams had great energy and timing for both junior varsity and varsity was good. Going into this next week we are going to continue to work on technique and cleaning."

The Revolution's junior varsity jazz team also finished seventh overall.
