CROSSLAKE — The Crosswoods Women's Golf League begins the first week of May, playing 18 holes on Mondays and nine holes on Wednesdays.

League participants can play one day a week or both days – whenever their schedule allows.

League officials plan to return to the normal season events, holding a spring lunch in June and a fall lunch to wrap up the season in mid-September, with various scrambles, a club tournament and other special activities throughout the summer.

League charges include a league fee and a GHIN membership, due on the first day of play.

Those interested in participating should contact the course at 218-692-4653 to sign up or get more details.

Our newsroom occasionally reports stories under a byline of "Pineandlakes Echo Journal." Often, the "Pineandlakes Echo Journal" byline is used when rewriting basic news briefs that originate from official sources, such as a city press release about a road closure, and which require little or no reporting. At times, this byline is used when a news story includes numerous authors or when the story is formed by aggregating previously reported news from various sources. If outside sources are used, it is noted within the story.
