Cross-country: Patriot girls 2nd, boys 3rd in Staples

The Pequot Lakes girls were second as a team - with Rian Zutter taking third, Calia Chaney fourth and Carly Chaney pacing fifth - at the Mid-State Conference meet at The Vintage Golf Course on Tuesday, Oct. 9.

Just behind the Patriot girls trio were Ellie Flaws and Nicole Young, who finished 14th and 16th, respectively.

The Patriot boys were lead by Ethan Johnson who placed ninth, giving the team a third-place finish.

Jesse Clausen was the second finisher for the Patriot boys, crossing the line 18:00.5 for a 13th-place finish.
