Mason Schroeder posted a goal and four assists to lead the Litchfield/Dassel-Cokato Dragons to a 6-3 victory over the Northern Lakes Lightning in the first round of the Granite City Showcase Thursday, Dec. 26
Couture scored twice, including the only goal in the first period, for a 1-0 Lightning lead after one period. The Dragons then rattled off five second period goals for a 5-1 advantage.
Caiden Kjelstrom opened the third period with a goal from an assist from Erik Larsen. Larsen assisted on two goals, while Hunter Nybakken added another assist.
Goalie Sam LeMieur collected 25 saves in net for the Lightning.
