Pequot Lakes’ Tyler Seeling shot a 2-under 70 to finish second as an individual and help the Patriots finish second overall at the Mid-Minn Conference championship Thursday, May 27, at The Vintage at Staples.
The junior finished two strokes behind winner Beck Erholtz of Staples-Motley. It was the 13th meeting of the season between the two. Of the previous 12 meetings, either Seeling or Erholtz came away as medalist 10 times. In nine of those tournaments, the other player was the runner-up.
Pequot Lakes received a sixth-place 85 from Anthony Armstrong and an 86 from Cooper Johnson.
Joseph Zaczkowski led the way for the PR-B boys team with a score of 89, followed by Isaiah Aulie with a 93 and Brady Bristow with a 94.
