Students from Pequot Lakes, Pine River-Backus, and Crosslake Community School participated in the Pequot Brush Pilots Snowmobile Club's DNR-approved snowmobile safety training course, with an eight-hour hands-on course along with a written and driving test in the Pequot Lakes High School parking lot.
Each student and their families will receive a free family membership to the Pequot Brush Pilots and Ideal Sno Pros for the next year.
Brush Pilots club members said those taking the class were very enthusiastic and engaged - a great tribute to the parents for having their kids involved in this activity.
