The Pequot Lakes Revolution dance team came away from the Alexandria Invitational on Saturday, Feb. 13, with a fifth-place finish in jazz.

“It was a good day of competition,” Coach Melissa Owen said. “We had strong performances in all three routines and are very happy with our placements in jazz. Our scores were high in choreography, difficulty and routine effectiveness.”

In the kick division, the Revolution finished ninth out of 11 teams. Sartell claimed the top spot in both categories.

“In the practices leading up to sections we will continue to strengthen our technique and clean up our routine,” Owen said. “In kick, we had strong scores in choreography and difficulty. Our weakest area is execution. We are going to focus a lot on cleaning up our routine before sections. I am so proud of how hard the athletes have been working this season.”

The JV jazz team also finished fifth at the meet.
