The Revolution Dance Team kicked off its 2021 season - after a condensed prep period - with a fifth-place finish at the Foley meet Saturday, Jan. 16.

"We are so proud of our athletes,” head coach Melissa Owen said. “They learned their routines in under two weeks. Which is something we have never done before. Even though our practices and competitions look a little different, the athletes have come in each day with a positive attitude and a great work ethic.”

Holy Family Catholic High School finished first at the event. The Revolution finished ahead of the hometown team, as well as Atwater-Cosmos-Grove City.

“In our competition today, we performed with minimal mistakes and even with masks,” Owen said. “Energy was very high. Next week we have conference championships, and to prepare we will be making some adjustments to increase difficulty and clean up our routines. We are grateful that we get to compete and are excited for the season."

The Revolution JV Jazz team finished third overall.
